Review: Carl Hutchinson at the Edinburgh Fringe

Carl Hutchinson’s show at the Pleasance Bunker One – titled “Here’s Me Show” – is a brilliant collection of witty anecdotes from the past year of his life.

Carl Hutchinson’s show at the Pleasance Bunker One – titled “Here’s Me Show” – is a brilliant collection of witty anecdotes from the past year of his life. Carl makes the most of the small venue by interacting with the audience and he immediately begins his show with this.

Self-deprecatingly funny, he takes ordinary situations and tells an amusing story that will have you in stitches.

Although he is used to touring the country supporting Chris Ramsey, he manages to easily get into the swing of his own show using typical Georgie charm and sharp, observational wit. This man deserves his own tour.

As his show is on at 8:20pm, it would make an excellent start to a night-out at the Edinburgh Fringe and is definitely a highlight of performances at the Pleasance at the 2014 festival.

I would recommend this show to anyone who enjoys comedians such as Chris Ramsey, Rhod Gilbert and even Billy Connolly. Hutchinson deserves a lot more recognition and I am sure you will be seeing a lot more of him in the future.
