Launch for a new initiative in North East arts

Performance artists are coming together to explore new ideas through The New Space Movement Intensive.

Freelance dance artist and pilates instructor, Catherine Muckle, created this project last year. It allows artists to collaborate through a series of workshops.

Fundraising event

Wanting to progress and continue this project into this year, she is creating a fundraising event to raise awareness of the arts and to encourage fellow artists to support the project. As she adds, “I cannot stress to you enough how passionate I am about making this project happen for the emerging students, the hardworking professionals and the people who want to explore movement within their own practice.”

It all depends on the support of the North East’s arts community that the region has. The fundraising event will take place on Friday 29th July at Space Six in Newcastle, and will include live performances from the amazing redheaded soul singer Beth Macari, dance performances from regional and national artists, a swing dance workshop, and much more.

The event will start at 6.30pm, tickets are £5 and all the money raised will go to The New Space Movement Intensive.
