Five blogs that you really ought to be reading

Everyone loves to lose themselves in another person’s world, it takes you away from your own from a while and this is just one of the reasons why blogs have become so popular.

Everyone loves to lose themselves in another person’s world, it takes you away from your own from a while and this is just one of the reasons why blogs have become so popular. This combined with just how easy it has become to create one has meant that many people find themselves lost as to which ones to read.

Wonderforest
Some people read to learn something new and if this is the case then Wonderforest is perfect. It is a blog so full of inspiring posts that I’m not sure how anyone could venture into Dana’s world and not come out feeling as though they can achieve something more than they had originally believed that they could. As if this wasn’t enough she also has sections of her blog that are entirely devoted to blogging tips and help on building your own business, all from her own unique journeys to where she has got today. To top all of this, Dana has also built herself the most adorable handmade shop. With all of this to keep you busy, I find it impossible to believe that anyone could venture onto this blog and not find yourself losing an entire evening on the website.

Charlotte’s Web
Of course every now and again we all just need a light-hearted, cheery read. Something that doesn’t necessarily inform us of anything in particular, but that brightens our day all the same. Charlotte is brilliant at doing this, from posts about relationships, to the everyday conversations that she has with her partner, right through to her own opinion on just about anything, to photos of her adorable fluffy and furry family (I’m talking about two cats and a rabbit here) there is something for everyone to love. With the recent SEO tips that she has added into her blog, I think it has come close to reaching perfection – it is sweet, honest AND a little bit (but not too much) informative!

A Beautiful Mess
The name of the blog describes exactly what you should expect when you click on the link. Elsie and Emma have created an online ‘mess’ so to speak, of crafts, photography, recipes, decor, fashion and beauty; all of which are beautifully crafted and designed as easy to follow tips to enable you to re-create their loveliness in your own home. What more could you really ask for?

Never Ending Footsteps
Everyone needs a little escape from their own lives every now and again. The increase in travel blogs has allowed many people to be able to do this, whether they use the websites to plan their own real life trip or just use them to spend a few hours daydreaming on. Lauren provides a humorous and true insight into the places that she visits and she provides a rather helpful ‘monthly summary’ of her travels, which provides a useful list of costs for each country that she has visited during that time.

Jammy and Jelly
But of course sometimes it is necessary to just visit a website for its pure simplicity – Jammy and Jelly is perfect for these days. While it may not be a blog full of lengthy discussions and debates, it is still one that is just as full of talent, but in a completely different way. All of the posts consist of sketchy, but brilliant, doodles that tell the story that words normally do on a conventional blog.
