Beyond The Future – A poem

Our lives are consecrated in shimmering matter

The dust of the angels reveals new beginnings
A new life is born as the former does shatter
The saints hold us tightly to prevent my sinning
The sea/sky divide cuts the world in half
Yet I can live forever below the waves or above the clouds
Unknown uncertainties heralded by a wizard with a staff
To live in pearly nothingness, hidden by wispy shrouds
Viscous substances contort our destiny
So present obscurities must be strong and hold firm
To exist beyond the horizon would be ecstasy
Reaching the Promised Land is not my concern
Lovers belong in an effervescent network
Joined by strands of blissful devotion
Further than our fingers the night shines like a waxwork
Such a bountiful thought, so continue the notion
