Top 5 hotspots to visit in Prague

Known for its culture and beauty, Prague is the place to visit this year. The Czech capital is filled to the brim with architecture, stunning vistas and of course, great food. Here is a list of just some of the many great things you can do, whether you are visiting for a weekend or several weeks.

1. Charles Bridge

Number one in all the tourist books is the famous Charles Bridge. Located in the middle of the city, this popular attraction joins the Old Town and Castle District. To avoid the crowds, make the trip to the bridge for the 6am sunset where you will get to experience its true beauty.

2. Rent pedalos

Prague is home to the longest river in the Czech Republic, River Vltava. In the summer months, you can rent pedalos to take out onto the river and enjoy the sun. It is great (and cheap!) way to see the city from a different angle.

3. Climb the Petrin Tower

If you’re looking to get the perfect 360 degree view of the city, climbing the Petrin tower is a must. Located at the very top of Petrin tower (don’t worry, there is a tram to the top of the hill), the tower offers stunning views of the city below.

4. John Lennon Wall

Located in the Castle district of the city is the famous Lennon Wall. Grab a paint pot and paintbrush (for a small donation), and join the many others writing inspirational messages on the 80s inspired wall. You can soak up the atmosphere whilst listening to the regular buskers pouring out famous Beatles’ songs and you can always pop to the Lennon pub after!

5. Sample the beer

Known for its cheap beer – yes, you can buy a pint for under a pound – one thing you must do whilst in the Czech Republic, is sample it. Whether it be at the famous Beer museum or in one of the many pubs scattered across the city, make sure you make the most out of it!
