Peter Andre, the singer, businessman, television personality and dependant on when you grew up pop star sensation of Mysterious Girl has hinted that he will not be appearing in more reality TV shows.

Andre, who documented his life through his ITV 2 show My Life, has said that “there are some great reality shows out there but I think I am overdone with them right now.”

The former member of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here has turned down the chance to appear on Channel 4’s Celebrity Big Brother. He said he could not handle being filmed for 24 hours a day.

Andre is one of those starts that have come out of the world of reality TV shows in a positive light. It is a shame to hear that there will be no more Andre on our screens; instead he will turn into a mysterious boy.

A publicity stunt?

Although you can see where he is coming from, as only Gareth Gates recently admitted that his affair with Katie Price had an impact on his career and how his audience see him. But after his appearance on Dancing on Ice it seemed that all of that was put behind him.

However Andre has not always been in the good books. It was revealed that Andre and former TOWIE star Amy Childs had had bit of a fling during the summer of 2011.  Apparently, they started to date after Peter split with Ellen Rivas but it only lasted a few months and Peter dumped Amy just before she went into the house of Celebrity Big Brother.

Maybe these celebs are having stage fright—personally I think they have nothing to worry about.  And this entire camera shy attitude is simply a phase they are going through.

Peter Andre has been through a lot in the press—I attended a master class with Kay Burley and discussed the interview she had with Mr Andre himself. He got really defensive and emotional and asked the interview to be stopped and so it was.

It is a tough world out there for celebs and I do feel sorry for Andre. You get the feeling that he really is a down to earth character. His numerous appearances on ITV’s Loose Women proved that, he seems like a genuine man and I think he has made the correct decision to stay low key at the moment.

As how could we forget, Andre is a big family man and we can tell from his documentaries that he loves his children. Andre and Emily MacDonagh have been together in the public domain for 18 months and recently announced their news of baby Amelia.

Andre wrote: “OK FINALLY we have a name for our beauty of a baby girl. Ems, J, P and I have decided on Amelia.”

Allowing his other children to help find a name for the new little newbie, he clearly loves his family. However a little contraction by allowing the public domain to read the news and then posting it all over the front page of  a glossy gossip magazine is not my idea of hiding away from the limelight.

What do you think? Do you think Andre is done with reality TV for good? Have your say in the comments section below.
