The 6th annual Revolver Golden Gods Awards took place April 23rd at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. Presented by Revolver Magazine the Golden Gods Awards honours the best rock and metal acts for their talents and contributions.
Opening the night was a surprise appearance from Slayer, introduced by Marilyn Manson, with the unveiling of new track “Implode.” The awards included 12 different fan-voted categories, and performances from the likes of A Day To Remember, The Pretty Reckless, Suicide Silence, Joan Jett and Guns N’ Roses.
Paying tribute to the pioneer who embodies the spirit of hard rock and metal is the Golden God Award. Joining the hall of fame alongside the likes of Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper and Gene Simmons, was first female recipient, the iconic Joan Jett.
The prestigious Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Axl Rose, placing him alongside previous victors including Lemmy Kilmister and Ozzy Osbourne.
