Turkish military have reportedly shot down a Russian military aircraft near the Turkish-Syrian border, it was announced on Tuesday.
Russian officials released a statement saying that an SU-24 crashed on Syrian territory after being hit by fire from the ground.
The pilots managed to eject, although their current state (at the time of writing) is still unknown.

This is not the first time Turkish military has shot down aircraft near their border as they have previously shot down Syrian aircraft. The war plane reportedly crashed in the Latakia province, where airstrikes and fighting between Syrian government forces and rebel forces had previously been reported.
