Review: SockShop Beauty Feet

We all have our own beauty regimes, which focus on the specific areas we feel either need the most attention or look best when accentuated. There are tonnes of articles out there to tell us the best products for keeping all those areas which are on show all the time looking their best, but what about the areas we tend to hide away? I’m talking about our feet…

With spring well and truly here and summer hopefully not long around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about ditching the boots and dusting off your sandals. SockShop have created a handy little product to make sure your feet are up to scratch for this transition… their Beauty Feet heel pad socks.

There’s no shame in admitting that our feet could do with some TLC before they’re ready for the world to see them every day in a pair of new flip flops. I always find also, that after a few days in sandals my feet like to rebel and suddenly become really rough, especially around the heel. This is where the nourishing heel pad with Chinese herbal recipe and Nano-Silver comes into play. I’m still not entirely sure what that actually means, but it seems to work!

When I first opened up the socks I was a little concerned that I’d be walking around noticeably feeling the pads in my shoes, as they were a lot thicker than I first imagined. After a few minutes though I needn’t have worried, as I could hardly feel them at all.

I wouldn’t say my heels were particularly cracked before I started using the socks but they definitely needed to be moisturised, which was successfully managed after just a day of wear.

After three days my feet felt smooth and incredibly well looked after. My heels, obviously, felt best of all. The patented technology is said to assist the sebaceous gland, sweat glands and skin to revive damaged heels. If anything my heels were so smooth I was a little worried that I’d be prone to getting blisters, (I wasn’t) which is what I’d say you could call a serious case of smoothness.

After seven days of use, cracked heels should be completely revived and I can imagine that definitely being the case.

The only downside for these Beauty Socks seems to be the price. One pair is £8.99 from the SockShop website, plus £1.25 for UK Standard shipping. That seems pretty pricey to me for one pair of socks. However, when you consider how much you’d spend on moisturiser, creams or plasters to cover up dry and cracked heels, you’re really onto a winner here… especially when it works so quickly!
