Review: Batiste Ella Henderson Sweet & Seductive dry shampoo

I hope you’re all enjoying the gorgeous weather recently and making the most of it. I don’t know about you, but my hair really suffers in this heat, especially when it comes to dry ends and grease.

A quick go-to product for revitalising your hair when it’s like this is of course, dry shampoo. Batiste stands out from the crowd as the UK’s number 1 and provides so many different alternatives to choose from depending on your hair type or needs. Over the past week, I’ve tried out their Instant Hair Refresh Sweet & Seductive dry shampoo by Ella Henderson. It’s the latest in the Batiste line, with Pixie Lott previously being an ambassador.

“Batiste is my number 1 hit; I’m either in the studio or on stage, in a car or on a plane – often with little time to get ready. I can always count on Batiste to refresh and restyle my hair in one go; I know I’ll always be ready for wherever the day takes me.” – Ella Henderson

So how was it?

To start with, the size of the bottle is a lot bigger than the previous Batiste dry shampoos I’ve used, which of course is a bonus, as you’re getting more for your money. (Available at around £3.29 per 200ml from Superdrug and other drug stores.) Saying that, they are so still easy to chuck into your bag if you’re going somewhere and need a top-up. Although over the last week I’ve found no top-ups have been necessary, even in this weather!

The smell of this product is just so so nice. It really is refreshing and makes me feel so much more… alive! I’ve recently dyed my hair a lighter colour, which makes it much easier to rub in the particles after spraying. Anyone with darker hair, I would recommend using an alternative so that you aren’t left with grey-like bits in your hair (not a good look).

For the best results – shake vigorously, then spray into your roots, keeping the nozzle about 30cm from your hair, massage in, brush and style.

I’m definitely going to be purchasing this product again.
