BBC Good Food Show returned to Birmingham for another year & so did we.
How could we resist a day of food, fun and festivities? With so much to see, eat and drink it’s tricky to sum up the highlights – but let’s try.
Northern Brownies
Filthy desserts are absolutely our thing and Northern Brownies were exactly what we were craving. We opted for an Original, a Salted Caramel and a Cookie Dough and we were not disappointed. Who doesn’t love a bit of cookie dough embedded into a chocolate brownie!?
Church Farm Brewery
One thing the BBC Good Food Show does well is give smaller producers a chance to shine. This year we discovered Church Farm Brewery and their Pilsner and its two pint can serving! It was a nice surprise to find something else among the endless Gin stalls that we actually wanted to try!

Lotus Biscoff
We love a freebie and especially a Biscoff one – and they came with the Smooth and Crunchy spreads! We aren’t ashamed to say we popped by more than once.
Mary Berry
Queen of cakes and the Bake Off, Mary Berry’s live demonstration in the Big Kitchen left us wanting to get straight into the kitchen. The Honey chicken recipe was our personal favourite and one we’ll be making asap.
We left will a full stomach and some purchases to add to the food cupboard. Bring on 2019!
