Now the transition from spring to summer is finally upon us, it’s important that we get ourselves ready. I’m sharing with you my essential products for the month that I promise will have you prepped for some more sunshine.

Wella Hair Oil

Hair oils are great to get the ends of your hair hydrated for the summer sun, especially if you are planning on spending a lot of time abroad. It’s also a useful product if you’re spending a lot of your time in the sea, by the pool or just in general, as most hair tends to dry out around this time of year.

For £10.24 on Amazon you’ll find a 100ml bottle of Professional Care by Wella Oil Reflections, which should last you weeks. Apply a small amount to just the ends of your hair each day to ensure your hair doesn’t end up looking greasy. This is a must have in your holiday case and on the run up to the summer months.

Nivea Men’s Post Shave Balm

There has been so much hype about this product, with many beauty bloggers claiming its the ideal primer and base for makeup. I was brave enough to give it a shot and I’m in love. The bottle itself had me indulged. Instead of the typical plastic tub/bottle, the container is glass! This might be a no-biggy for some of you, but it made me feel as though the product had some elegance about it. Although the products is obviously manufactured for men (and can be found in the men’s aisle) shouldn’t deter you as it comes in just as useful for women and costs around £7 – a great price for a day/night cream and a primer. Now, who doesn’t like a multi-use product?

You’ll find Nivea Men’s Post Shave Balm in most drugstores and supermarkets. It’s currently on offer at Boots for just £5.35 for 100ml.

Cocoa Butter Formula

If you suffer from dry skin and regularly hit the sunbeds to build up a base tan before you head on your jolly’s, then this cream is the one for you. I’d say it is one of the best formulas out there which really do work and guarantee to lock moisture in to your skin. If you’re not a fan of the smell, then I’d use Nivea’s Aftersun Care Cream as an alternative as that does have a sweeter scent. Either way, always make sure you keep your skin hydrated!

You’ll find Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Body Lotion for £3.75 at Boots and Nivea’s Aftersun Soothing Lotion can be found in Superdrug for £4.99 per 400ml.
