If you’re a makeup addict like me, or simply just very passionate about beauty products then you will have probably invested a fairly big sum of money into your collection. Although some of the nicest products on the market are in a high price range, there are quite a lot of good quality items which are a great bargain and affordable for everyone. I’m always on the hunt for cheap drugstore products which are of high quality and after having a look in my beauty collection here are a few I can recommend:
Barry M Speedy nail paint – £3.99
I do not have enough words to describe how amazing these nail polishes are. First of all, they’re under £5, bargain or what?! Second of all, the quality is just awesome! I’ve had this nail polish on for almost a week now and it's lasted surprisingly well. Last but not least, quick dry. Us girls know what it feels like when you’ve got places to be but forgot one thing – to take time and paint your nails. I’ve used Barry M’s nail polishes many times when I've been rushing and it dries so fast! Very cheap, practical and it’s one of my favourite products!
Maybelline Eraser Eye concealer – £7.99
I’m sure that some of you are probably familiar with this little must-have item as the internet has raved about it so much. This is by far the best concealer I’ve ever tried and I’ve re-purchased it plenty of times. The consistency is creamy, yet not sticky and applies nicely on the skin. I really like the little sponge it has at the top, making it very easy to apply on both large and small areas of your face. This Maybelline concealer does a great job in covering up dark circles, blemishes and redness. For just £7.99 this is a product I will always have in my makeup collection and would definitely recommend!
Sleek Makeup Face Contour Kit – £6.99
What makes me crazy about this kit is the quality of the highlighter. While most of us makeup addicts wish we can get our hands on an Anastasia Glowkit, Sleek offers us a cheap alternative. While the bronzer is of average quality, the highlight is strongly pigmented and lasts for ages. Dewy look or heavy strobbing, this Sleek kit is small and practical and of great quality.
Rimmel Exaggerate lip liner – £3.99
I honestly can’t remember how I got my hands on this little guy (was probably recklessly shopping in the beauty aisle at Boots) but I’m so happy I did. For only £4 this product is of nicer quality than you’d expect. I didn’t really have high hopes about it especially when I’ve never been of fan of lip liners. But this one really managed to surprise me and it’s safe to say that I wear it everyday as lipstick. Tip: apply a moisturizing balm before the lipstick as it tends to dry out your lips.
Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge – £5.99
There are two types of girls out there: the ones who use a brush and the ones who use a sponge. The Real Techniques brand was started by the Pixiwoo sisters, beauty vloggers on Youtube who are now professional makeup artists. This is honestly your best bet when it comes to an affordable sponge. It's an excellent dupe of the Beauty Blender, saving you money while offering the same finish. I’ve been using the Real Techniques sponge for years now and can confirm that it really does do it's job well.
