2000Trees 2015. Be a part of summer

2000Trees festival in the rolling hills of the Cotswolds is a unique, boutique 5,000 capacity music festival that concentrates on the music, the local food, drink and more music.

If you thought you were in for another summer festival – think again. This gig is not to be missed and with tickets selling fast you need to visit their website and get buying.

Feeling the pinch? 2000Trees has the answer to this: apart from being excellent value you can buy now, pay later… how’s that for consideration? Mind you, this festival was set up by six friends who were tired of being ripped off when listening to their favourite bands or discovering new sounds. They know what you want and provide it, one weekend a year.

2000Trees 2015

This year you need to keep 9th- 11th July free. This will be the weekend of weekends. No they can’t guarantee the weather – and trust me – I was there in 2012 and it never stopped raining… but it was still the best festival I’ve been too. What you can rely on is amazing music and local food suppliers including the vegan, veggie and gluten-free Wide Awake Café, Pieminster, Smokin Hot Tomales plus the Splitscreen Icecream Co. This is just a sample; there are spuds, burgers, pizzas and any variety of coffee you can imagine. Of course you may also want to try out the local beer and cider. You’ll never look at a badger’s bottom in the same way again.

Who will be headlining?

With at least 80 of the best new and underground acts from the world of indie and rock and 5 stages, there will be no shortage of music. This year Deaf Havana are headlining and amongst other bands appearing are Idle Wild, Arcane Roots, Pulled Apart by Horses and The Subways. I could list masses more, but why not check out the exciting line-up at www.twothousandtreesfestival.co.uk and check for yourselves. With The Cave, Axiom and Croft tents to visit, plus The Forest (where they are promising more hammocks and hay bails this year – plus a bar in the trees) and the Main Stage, there will not be a moment to think about studies – just lose yourself in the music. Even when the bands finish at 23.00 there is the silent disco to keep you moving until 03.00.

Award winning

Retiring to your tent to grab some much needed shut eye you can sleep safely in the knowledge that 2000Trees has been awarded and shortlisted many times. Winner of the “Grass Roots Festival” award 2010 and 2013. It was shortlisted five times for Best Small Festival and more importantly for some, in 2010 it was awarded the 2nd best toilets at a UK Festival. Stereoboard described it as, “The best Festival in the UK and that’s not going to change anytime soon.” Frank Turner who has played previous years described it as “My favourite UK festival.” A sentiment echoed by many of the festival’s 8,639 followers on twitter.

On site traders enable some retail therapy and cash machines are on site too – should you be in need. Along with these features there are dedicated family camping areas, glamping spots and various ticket options – take a look here: http://www.twothousandtreesfestival.co.uk/tickets/

Make sure you enjoy your July by getting down to Cheltenham over 9th– 11th July this summer. With the Big Green Shuttle bus running from Cheltenham Spa train station on Thursday, Friday and back again on the Sunday, you have no excuse not to attend. If you are coming by car there is ample parking at £5 and the site is well sign posted from the A436.

Grab some friends and be a part of the best festival this summer.
