Eight ways you can embrace the summer fashions

As the weather gets hotter (it will one day in England!) or if you are going on a summer holiday this year, we all need to get out of the winter blues and into the summer season.

As the weather gets hotter (it will one day in England!) or if you are going on a summer holiday this year, we all need to get out of the winter blues and into the summer season. I have rounded up some of my essential summer style tips for you all to read.

Comfort

No one likes to be in a tight, black dress during the tropical weather. Choose something a little less fitted and something you can breathe in. Personally I use the summer as an excuse to have loose fitting short sleeve tops.

Umbrella & Cardigan

If you live in the UK then you will understand that these items are essential to your handbag all year round. You never know what the weather can bring and it is always when you least expect it as the weather man usually lies.

Hair Ties

If you have long hair then these will most likely be always attached to your wrist but they are important when it’s summer because the heat does not like hair and makes it stick to your neck. Nice image there…

Florals

Everyone brings out the floral prints and I personally love them. If you hate florals but still want to dress with the current fashion trends then just mix it up a bit and try some neon florals or they don’t have to be on your clothes. You could have a hair slide or bracelet with a flower on it.

Colourful clothes

I love my monochrome style and my idea of adventure is adding grey. However in the summer I always try to be a little more creative by switching up one item of dark clothing with a coloured one. This means that I have not gone overboard with drastically changing my style and I still feel comfortable.

Printed trousers

I love these at the moment and the high street are bringing out some great patterns. I have never been that into shorts but when it’s hot, the last thing you want to do it put jeans on so these are perfect. They are usually on a really light weight material so that are really comfortable.

Blazers

This is the perfect summer staple for me. There are such a variety of fittings to choose from. I think they look good dressed up or dressed down and there is one for every occasion. A well fitted blazer will never come in wrong and then a pretty pastel coloured one with a relaxed fit will be what I am on the hunt for this summer.

Always have painted toes

The boots are off and it’s time to prep those feet. Having dry and flaky heels are not a nice thing to look at, as are chipped or bare toe nails. I find feet a bit weird anyway so if there is something that I can do to make mine look better then I will. It is also a nice way to add a pop of colour to your outfit it you are cautious of adding colour.
