With diet plans, Victoria reveals her secret

We are all guilty of gawping at these beautiful women parading down the runway every year in beautiful lingerie, while we stuff our faces with Malteser bunnies in between tears.

We are all guilty of gawping at these beautiful women parading down the runway every year in beautiful lingerie, while we stuff our faces with Malteser bunnies in between tears. Just kidding—we’re not that obsessed, are we?

Every year these angels strut around in glamorous bikinis and underwear paired with towering heels and a Hollywood smile. They make it look easy, as if they were just born that way. The thing is, no one looks that fabulous without extreme dieting and working out. The models in the Victoria’s Secret Show don’t show on camera how they train intensively every day to get their stick thin bodies, and how they only eat low-calorie diets. They didn’t get those desirable thigh-gaps eating pizza and going to the gym once in a blue moon.

I explored the crazy world of the diet and fitness regimes these beauty queens go through to confidently strut the catwalk. If you fancy exercising between four to six hours, six days a week, then maybe you won’t be crying by the time the next show is on. That’s if you haven’t died from exhaustion already.

As well as working out at the gym, the glamorous girls also enjoy going to some of the exercise classes available. Most of them prefer yoga as the stretching makes their bodies more supple and toned and the majority of the models train in boxing to gain abs, definition and arm muscles. While doing this they are on strict diets of fish and vegetables with low carbs and in the upcoming weeks before the show they only consume protein shakes.

In the last four weeks before the famous event, the models exercise every single day, and in the 24 hours before the show, they are not allowed to intake anything at all – including water! This is apparently a trick that helps make sure their muscles are dehydrated and show up more defined on the day. I just can’t believe they are standing up, never mind walking in staggeringly high platforms! I know that when I watch the next show I will be enjoying a drink a little too much. Well if you can’t join them…

If you think their diet plans are extreme, take a look at these top bizarre celebrity diet tips:

Jennifer Aniston snacked on 14 baby food servings every day leading up to her film with Adam Sandler.

Sarah Michelle Gellar consumed an unlimited amount of cabbage soup and low calorie veggies to lose the pounds.

Lady Gaga is one of the many A-list celebs on the alcorexia diet – eating little calories every day so you bank them all and binge at the end of the week on drinking.

Christina Aguilera likes to colour by numbers in her diet plan, by eating food based on the colours of the rainbow.

Beyoncé looked fabulous after giving birth to her daughter by consuming six lemon juices every day.

If you thought dehydrating yourself for 24 hours was a bit extreme, then what about Gwyneth Paltrow chewing every mouthful of food 13 times without fail. Obsessive…

VOM ALERT: January Jones had her placenta dried after giving birth and crushed into capsules to use as a supplement to shed her baby weight. Pass me the chocolate, ta.
