We all know the prospect of a UK summer might be a little disappointing, but who needs the sun to have a memorable time when there are over 10 music festivals that will have you partying into the early hours. Mark your festival calendars, because 2015 is shaping up to be the best year ever for live music, dance, and entertainment. Here are the Top 5 music festivals everyone needs to be at:

Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts

24th – 28th June 2015 
Glastonbury festival needs no introduction. It’s the mother of all festivals and the party experience is not to be missed. If you could only choose one festival to go to in your lifetime this would be it. Catering for almost all musical preferences, it provides over 50 stages and places for performers with this years headliners including Kanye West, Foo Fighters, and Lionel Richie. But the real experience comes from the dance village, where all are welcome to let out their inner crazy after dark. There’s also different stages that do cabaret, circus, theatre, and even includes a massive kids play area for those with children.

T in the Park!

10th -12th July 2015 
A month after Glastonbury and named as one of the biggest party’s in Scotland, T in the park is celebrating its 15th anniversary by showing once again how the Scottish like to party. Last year’s line-up included Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, Beyoncé, Tom Jones and Foo Fighters. The three day festival has nine stages and a choice of up to 180 artists lined up for when you’re not at the fairground or tucking in to the organic foods or numerous stalls and bars.

02 Wireless Festival

03rd – 05th July 2015
The 02 wireless musical festival is going into its seventh year and to celebrate this year they have lined up some of the best bands and DJ’s in the world. Acts performing this year include names such as Drake, David Guetta, Nicki Minaj, and Avicii. This musical festival takes place every year in Finsbury Park, London for three days and is owned and managed by Live Nation. Yes, the ticket prices might be expensive but with the amount of top notch artists set to play and the various stalls provided by Wireless to entertain you, you won’t regret going to this festival. 

V Festival

22nd – 23rd August 2015 
This annual music festival is held during the penultimate weekend in August and is sponsored by Virgin media. The festival ground is centred around a breath taking 17th century stately home in Weston Park which has 1000 acres of parkland and Hyland Park’s ancient woods, beautiful gardens, and lake. Held at both Weston and Hyland parks, artists perform at one location on Saturday and swap on Sunday. This festival has previously attracted many of the worlds top acts such as Eminem, Rihanna, and Bruno Mars. This year’s line-up includes world-famous DJ Calvin Harris, The Script, Paloma Faith, Ellie Goulding, The Kooks and Clean Bandit.

X Music Festival Edinburgh

22nd – 23rd May 2015 

This 18 and over musical event, is set to be the biggest and most iconic festival to ever hit Edinburgh. The festival also hosts itself in Cardiff in early June and both festivals include world famous artists. Clean Bandit and Andy C who have taken the drum and bass scene by storm are among those that will take to the stage this year at the Edinburgh date. This X Music festival lasts for two days in May with over 20,000 people set to attend the event in Gypsy Brae Park this summer and are offering a free ticket to anyone who can sell five tickets to friends.
